Grips and weights. Where to get 'em?

RE: Grips and weights. Where to get 'em?
Here are a few choices for you to consider. Certainly new grips can help, but that won't help with the fact that on long trips, you have to keep squeezing the grip. Over time, it wears on you. Something that would allow you to relax a little goes a long way. The Throttle Rocker is a device that allows you to use the weight of your hand and wrist to "assist" in holding the throttle in place. It's a simple device and inexpensive. I use a Vista Cruise like Rino. It works great. It's been around since the 70's. Again, a simple device, but it actually holds the throttle in place with the "flick" of your thumb. It's not so tight that you can't adjust the throttle with your hand if you want to, for small adjustments. I had to make some minor modifications to it so it didn't interfere with steering. The "thumb" actuator is a little long, and at full right lock of the forks, and the pointed end of the thumb actuator would hit my tank. I just simply trimed it back so it wouldn't hit. The final suggestion is the ThrottleMeister. It's a precision machined device that replaces your handlebar weights. To use it, you simply grip it and give it a twist. It holds the throttle in place. To release it, you simply twist the throttle back and it releases it. I've attached some photos of my throttle with the modified Vista Cruise. You can see in the reflection how close it comes to the tank, but now a miss is as good as a mile. Anything you can do to relax your grip will go a long way to making your longer trips more enjoyable. Good luck.

BTW, my grips are called Grab-On's. They're made of that material you see on refridgeration lines. They're soft and reduce some of the vibration. I got used to using them on my bikes in the 80's so keep getting them for each bike I get.
