Inmates,

Does anybody know how to remove the entire bar weight form the handlebar.

I need to replace mine, but i can not work out how to remove part that sits's inside the handlebar

Thanks

Previously i did this 20 years ago on the CBR600F i dropped at speed....

Squirt a little wd40 or similar inside as far as possible.
Use a cap screw [same thread as your weight] but longer with a few washers floating, use it as a slide hammer to pull the weight out.......

You'll have to remove both grips Johno, and you'll see retaining clips inside the throttle and clutch units which need to be depressed to remove the bar end units inside.
It's a bit of a pig but do-able

I hope you have something pretty heavy to replace them with...these bikes are a little buzzy w/o.

Got it out, took to it with an electric drill, and drilled it out.
