going to be new 1000f owner
i am just a bit curious about the info on these bikes, i am looking to purchase my first 1000f. its a 95 with 8615 miles. asking $4500, and its been sittng in a garage for the past 6 years untouched. i have tried searching the internet, with no luck at finding info or parts. i am sure if i used ebay i could find the parts but i am not a big ebay fan. any info would be great. oh, and heres a few pics of the bike.

For the price you're paying, you shouldn't need any parts for the bike. $4,500 for a 95 seems awfully high, with the possible exception being that the bike is showroom clean, and even then........ Anyhow, don't knock ebay- there are some great deals to be found. I got a complete stock exhaust for my 95, including all mounting hardware and the heat shields, in good condition, for a little over $100 on ebay. New retail, the same parts would have cost closer to $3000. You just have to be diligent and patient- eventually what you need will turn up on ebay for sale. Having said all that, another place to look for new oem parts is http://www.powersportspro.com/partsfish/login.asp, although I think Ron Ayres is generally a little cheaper.
