Default Gas caps

I just bought my 88 hurricane, which is my first experience with a sportbike. I broke my gas cap, I am having trouble finding a replacement. Online search finds many options for newer cbr1000s (for $120 bucks or more). Are gas caps that much different from year to year? (They look nearly identical). Does anyone know of cheaper alternatives?

Check at Honda East Toledo. They usually have OEM replacement parts at reasonable prices. Try their easy-to-use online parts look-up utility.

Chad, keep an eye on Ebay, Craiglist and hop into your local wreckers.

Don't forget the 1987/88 CBR750F had the same fuel cap as well.

Welcome to the forum too! I see you met TK

Cheers, SB

Good to see you took the reply in the light-hearted spirit that it was intended.

Just a wee hint mate, the Saloon is probably not the best place to ask reasonable questions requiring intelligent replies.

Back out one level to the general CBRF 1000 Hurricane level. There are way more intelligent and helpful people that frequent that area.

Nope it got deleted so let's try this again.

In this LINK it says '88 CBR600F will fit.

So this LINK should work.

But read the info in this LINK first as there is some interesting stuff on the bottom of third page.
