Don't skimp on the tires! TOO MUCH RIDING ON THEM ! When I got my '94 it had 8000 miles on it and had sat in a shed for six years. The Dunlops that were on it looked fine but were hard as rock. I've run two sets of AVON sport tour Azerios. The front must be at max/reccommended inflation pressure or it will cup out. Next set planning on Michelin Road 2 this spring. Anyone got those on yet?

 

Had Michelin Road 2's on for 12500 K's. No sign that front or rear are ready for the bin, or even close. Good grip too. I recommend them. (and I don't ride like an old fart, there're no chicken strips on my tyres !)
