Unhappy Found cracks in the plastic

Today I changed my oil and took some of the plastic off. I looked the plastic panels over front and back. Guess what I found some small cracks that were not there 2 weeks ago. I know she is 23 years old and all, but she is my baby. Well I put some plastic weld on the back side. I will put her back together in the morning and ride.

P.S. I have to say that K&N makes a great oil filter that makes it easy to change.

Have a few here and there too, use 2 part epoxy gel to back stick 'em similar to what
you do.....works nice ....mine is at the #1 fairing bolt hole right side beside tank
and rad filler cover......hey 20 + years they're bound to have a few wrinkles and I'm
talking bikes not Aussies r' Seth Effricans

Those could be laugh lines, Sprock, but nothing's that funny
EXCEPT if we're talking about guys from NOO INGLIN....hehe
I have a couple on the lower fairings, broken clips which I've had to repair.
They are much stronger now........

Be careful Steve-o. I had a similar problem, and the other two clips let go and I lost my lower left panel complete - never saw it come off, but at least it didn't go under the rear wheel at speed.
I now have new clips(rebuilt) AND I have two sets of bolts with brackets holding the left and right lower panels together, for safety.

I fixed mine after my big step off using a product called "Plastex". The results were mixed so I don't recommend the product. I was however not a total loss. It was great for remodeling tabs & filling holes etc as long as it is reinforced with something else as it is affected by heat & stress. I found that it held together but was unstable. Sometimes it bulges & sometimes it sinks according to the weather???
Plastic weld would be the best way to go.
Steve-O. zip her up mate. Winter's coming & you need to keep her warm down there.
