Bloody hard to do with a rattle gun to remove the 6mm alan bolt to seperate the tubes. Easier way is to remove the forks and just take it into a mechanic.

Trips I think I will take your advise and take them off and give them to the mechanic sounds a smarter option to me. I did my rear wheel bearing today I didnt knw ther were three of them, rides a lot smoother now

I recently asked a shopwhat the cost would be to replace fork seals on the Bird. It was very cheep compared to what a wrecked fork would mean, just$150 which included labor, seals and fork oil. On the Bird it is quite easy though, no nuts inside the fork to loose, so I did it myself and it turned out well.

The guy who owned the Hurricane before me replaced the seals on that and said it wasnot a trivialjob, he had to lose some internal bolt with a hammer airimpactwrenchthat shops use to remove wheels.
