CBR1000F fork diameter

Hi, I have been trying to find out the schematic sizes for your versions fork diameter and the 91 model, from initial results it would seem that all that was changed was paint schemes. Here are a couple of links and some history on the CBR1000 changes

Hope it helps and if I spot some more relevant information I will post that as well.

(JAN 87) CBR1000FH (Hurricane) (SC21-2000021) Super sports bike,2 into 1 exhaust shrouded in a fully enclosed sports fairing, wrap around tail lights, 21 litre fuel tank and fitted with 17 inch alloy wheels, finished in Grey, White or Black.

(FEB 88) CBR1000FJ (SC21-2100865) has the same specification as the CBR1000FH with different finishes, White/Red or White/Blue

(AUG 88) CBR1000FH (SC21-2012952) Discontinued.

(OCT 88) CBR1000FK (SC24-2000028) Introduced with restyled fairing with air ducts behind the windscreen and exposes the engines side casings, silencers given bright Silver finish, fitted with wider tyres and finished in Red/White or Blue/White

(SEP 89) CBR1000FJ (SC21-2110310) Discontinued.

(DEC 89) CBR1000FL (SC24-2100706) Replaces the CBR1000FK, no actual changes except for the finishes, Red/Black or White/Red

(JAN 91) CBR1000FM (SC24-2200001) Replaces the CBR1000FL with dark finished silencers and revised graphics, finished in Black/Pink or White/Red or Black/Red

Both the 88 and 90 forks are 41mm. The 88 had adjustments for air pressure and the TRAC anti-dive. The 90 and 91 do not.

'90 was the first year for cartridge shocks in the front. Prior was damper rod style. I believe the tubes are interchangeable in all dimensions EXCEPT brake caliper mounting. A change of tubes might require a change of calipers which might get into wheels, too. Not sure about rotor location widthwise but I think they are the same diameter. Interchanging similar parts often has a host of other issues that are so close, but so far away.
