Welder looks good - moulding gell will only give you an exact match where often you will need a mirror image of the tab

welder
I really dont see where the welder would be of any use for tabs, but good for cracks maybe...but I have seen the other product used in conjunction with fiberglass cloth to reinforce an area that was cracked too...seemed to work well in theory...but the mold and stuff seems like it would work really well for the tabs if you follow the instructions properly for prep....its a different type of plastic, but its supposed to bond to other types well...im gonna get some tomorrow and see how it does...

As most of you know I crashed out recently & made a mess of myself & my bike. Been doing a little research on plastic repair & my local auto shop put me in touch with a wholesaler that sells a product made by 3M used for bumper repair. There is also a video of several 3M products on you tube. I'll try to copy the link.

Hope it's of some help. The product I was quoted I think was the last one on the video. The product was just under $100 & the applicator gun $105. These are Australian dollars.

Great Vid Beard comprehensive !!
If ayone cant fix most cracks with that system ...I 'll go he
At plumbing school (about 243 years ago ) we were taught to weld these plastics with a torch and special plastic rods ...
I have a small crack in my lower fairing that one day I will be trying to weld and sand ... but for guys with no welding experience , that 3M system would be bloody good ..
Nice Vid and info mate
