I dont think Honda have ever made a smooth shifting gearbox.

I found two above facts applying to me.
- My bike makes a big clunk, just when I hit the 1st gear the firt time only in the mornings, after thatit's more of a sweet changing the rest of the day
- High iddling makes the clunk more noticeable, I had one day the idle set at 1,300 RPM 'cause some idiot wanted to play with the little **** that moves the iddling, so changing on those RPM's was very difficult specially on 1st.
So take note and do not worry about this.
As a separate note, I also own a BMW (R1100RT) I see the shoes being thrown at me now! (thanks Mr. Bush) , anyway on that bike there is nooo wayyyy to smooth shift seems that germans want to make sure the bike engaged a gear by using audible methods
