haha that answers it lol i have no airbox the ones on ebay i found are expensive whats the k and n pods???? i asked about the f3 one because someone is selling one locally for 20 dollars but i guess thats a no go i was gonna make one but idk if that would be cost effective

K&N pods are cone shaped filters you clamp directly on the carb airhorn. They work fine as long as you keep them clean and oiled.

My personal opinion(yea, yea everyone has one and they are usually fill of sh*t) is you can't beat Japanese R&D. Stay with the factory airbox.

yeah, I likely wouldn't screw around with pod filters, either. Carbs are a bit finicky and although it can certainly be done... I would probably just go with a stock airbox if you can find one.
I know it sucks if you can't find a cheap one.... and the "just keep looking for a cheap one" response doesn't help much either.
