The 90 and 91 CBR1000F are the same. In the June, 1991 issue, Motorcyclist magazine tested the CBR against the ZX11, FJ1200 and Katana 1100. The CBR's top speed was 157 versus the Kawasaki's 172 mph, but the CBR was rated best overall.

 

If you look at both side fairings, one of them is missing the little protector piece (can't think of the right name at the moment) and the other side is completely missing. This would tell me that he most likely dropped it on both sides!

They must have switched it in later years. My 90 is as shown in the picture - fuel on bottom, temp on top. (I had to go look )

Hey:

It will really make me wonder if he gets 3k out of it, as it looks to me to been down or apart with the missing lower fairing parts.
I wonder if it sells and after looking at it they complete the transaction, cause if it won't do 186 mph (maybe they meant kph) I think it would be a breech of contract.

 

I was never able to get my outlawed 1990 CBR1000 over 165. Jet kit high flow ac in a full tuck with a good breeze behind me.
