Does the pre 93' model CBR have more legroom?
Enjoying my bike but been on the tall side (6'3ish) I'm finding the fairing cuts into my knees a bit unless I sit back (which is not super comfy through the twists). Just a little baffled as 3 years ago my mate lent me his 92model to have for the weekend, and I remember it had plenty of room, the current 99' model I have just feels a bit more cramped, only around the knees, the rest if fine though.
Any tips like a better seat or something that can improve the legroom?

RE: Does the pre 93' model CBR have more legroom?
My '88 seems like it has plenty of leg room. I'm 6ft. I asked a question before about if the front fairings off of a newer model would bolt up to my '88 and they told me that the fairings were smaller. So There probably is a big difference in the pre-'92 versus the newer models. That makes me wander if the fairings off of a '90-'92 would match up with my '88....?

Starting to wish I bought a older model. My mate is around 6 foot and rides a Blackbird, he also commented after a 5 minute run on my bike that its leg room was poor for a bike thats quite a lot larger than the 'Bird'. Seems that the designers bought the fairing forwards for reasons I've got no understanding to why.

I'm 6'2" and find the seating position on my '91 F1 very confortable. I can move my weight around the seat in corners etc and never have a problem with farings bumping my knees or other issues.
I have wondered about upgrading to a blackbird and heard they were tight for someone of my height. Any comments??

I tried the Blackbird some months ago because I thought that it was gonna replace my CBR1000F some day, but there wasn't room enough for my legs. My knees were touching the faring, and the general riding position seemed more crouched. The handlebars is narrower too. So unfortunatly the Blackbird isn't a bike for me...
