Easiest Access to Headlight Bulbs???
Well, both filaments on both bulbs are dead, so time for some replacements. What all do I have to remove in order to gain access the the bulbs? I've fiddled with the bulbs from underneath but there is barely room for my hand that way, and also I can only do things by feel since there is no way to see what I'm doing.....Someone give me a hint before I start unbolting things that don't need to be! haha.

RE: Easiest Access to Headlight Bulbs???
It's a real pain! On my '94 model I take off the screen, upper fairing inner covers, instrument panel covers, and instrument panel. Undo the bolts, pull the instrument panel partly off, then you can get at the speedo drive cable and wiring, before removing the panel.
Like I said, it's a real pain, but without all this, I just can't get my mits in there.
It still only takes a few minutes though, and I think it would take longer (and be harder on the knuckles) to try and take a "short cut".

Hi, yes, this job is a real pain. The shortcut way is to remove the horizontal inspection panel that is below/underneath the headlight - this is the way to access the headlight aim adjusters. That leaves just enough room to reach in and change the bulbs. But the easiest way is as previously mentioned - take off the instrument surround and the instruments binnacle - this will give you easy access from the top.
