My carbs had 120's in it stock. I took those out, put in 118's with adjustable tapered needles and drilled slides. Also have a 4-2-1 Yoshi pipe and K&N filter. Mine had a sticker on the airbox that said it was adjusted for high altitudes too though. Below 4K rpm in higher gear it bogs and chugs, but overall it runs pretty good. I am tired of adjusting the needles on it. I got the jets and stuff out of a jetted set of junk carbs. Now they are spare parts, hehe.

now what if my bike already has a pipe and is jetted for it? it has a vance & hines supersport system with a 122 main jet (which i think is right?). would i have to do anything to the carbs if i installed a k&n filter?

I had a full Laser 4-2-1 system on my -92 and it also had a K/N filter. The main jets where #122. I had to raise the needles two steps from the middle position to get the bike running properly. When they where in the middle position it hesitated a lot at 6000 rpm. The problem was there also with the stock downpipes, dual aftermarket mufflers and a K/N filter. Once sorted out, I didn't have to change anything when the 4-2-1 system came on.

alright thanks, i was just curious because i was thinking about getting one. i wonder if the needles are making it run the way it doesnow, where it hesitates A LOT at 5000 and up

If it is weak above 5 k, startby cleaning the carbs. It it pulls better with some choke when warmed upit is a sign of clogged carbs.
