DIY carb ballancer
I'll be putting together a home made carburetor balancer today. I bought all the parts that I think I'll need jsut need to assembly it. Have a vacuumm gauge, vacuumm lines, an air suply manifold with valves (this one came from the local pet store) and an air shut off valve to regulate the air in and out of the gauge. Saw the idea when I googled this the other week. It's a little different than the website I got the idea from but the theory behind it is the same. I'll post pics when I strat on it and let you guys know how it turns out.
Sounds like a good cheap solution - let us know how you get on.
You may only be able to open the airlines a small amount due to fluctuations, but it'll still work.

Yup I was only able to open the lines a little but the reading was very stable and it WORKED!
Total investement was $40. $20 for the gauge, $20 for the manifold and blue air valve. The guage (vacuum/fuel pump) came from the local tool store (Princess Auto in Canda/Harbor Freight in the US), the manifold with the individual shut-off valves and the little blue air valve came from the local gold fish store. I only went in to get the blue valve (the one near the gauge) and was planning on using several automotive vacuum "t" lines and heavy duty paper clips to control each line but when I saw this "manifold" with the indivicual shut-off valves (was meant to control air lines in aquariums), I knew I had to have it!
Bellow are two pictures of what my contraption looks like and two more of the parts that I used to make it.

Looks good.
