Default bad carb?

I just bought a 96 cbr 600 f3. Its sat for 2 years and the gas smelled really bad so i drained the tank, pulled the carbs off and cleaned them really good. O put them back onand the bike ran pretty good on and off for a couple hours. went to start it the next day and it would only start by dumping gas down the carb.... idk whats going on with it now any ideas?

yea, pump is working, there is fuel in the bowls and it is fresh gas with new filter. also is there supposed to be fuel in the two lines running from the carb to that air valve solenoid?? cause when i take the carbs off fuel comes out of there..

in my unprofessional opinion,no.it would seem to me the air valve hoses should draw air or vacuum.i do hope someone that knows a helluva lot more about these bikes than i do chimes in on this soon.

The pump could not be pumping enough fuel. By pass the pump by taking the filter and hooking it up to the output hose of the fuel pump.
