-15 is no problem, if you have the clothing for it. I've been out in -30 a couple of years back, in the Lesotho mountains. More water skiing than snow ski's, though I'm pretty hopeless at both........our weather seems to be changing - we've had sooooooo much rain this summer, it's been depressing, even though it's still rideable.

 

Our NEW weather conditions seem to be affecting everyone. Our summers are very rainy. I did not ride much last year due to rain. When I say rain I am talking about trees coming down with high winds. The winters are colder than normal. We keep setting new lows and the mercury stays down there for long periods of time. When I was in my teens, I would skip out of school and put some hours in at the Honda shop down the road. I would open the garage door and let the fresh air in. I remember doing this in March. It is March 11th today and as I type this it is snowing lightly outside.

Have you seen the “Long Way Round” or “Long Way Down” with Ewan McGregor & Charly Boorman? I did and now have a greater erg to ride.

I put the skis away and now stare at the bike.

Also watched his "Race to Dakar"

If you haven't seenit, get a copy of "Faster" - outstanding.

In "Long Way Round" they must have passed two miles from my house before they turned south to visit the Tuttles at Orange County Choppers, 1 1/2 hours south of me.

In "Long Way Down" they passed East of you.

Only reason they took BMtroubleyou's was they were free...............KTM and Honda wouldn't donate the bikes, to my knowledge.....................
BTW, T Tu, I'll have to get you some geo lessons..........East of me means they were in the sea...........he he he. Good for surfin, not bikes, dude !

 

I knew that the BMW's were donated. They are huge compared to the others but have a 8.9 US gal. tank.
