Default D.I.D. CAM CHAIN QUESTION

Hello everyone! Anyone been able to find an online supplier or USA retailer that carries D.I.D. part number SCA-412ASDH? I'm having a helluva time finding this chain (though there is one most generous forum member willing to obtain one in another country and send it to me). It seems like there should be an easier way (and less troublesome for the forum member)to get one of these in the USA. Thanks!

Dave, thanks for checking it out for me. If your buddy canfind one from a USA source, maybe we can arrange for me to pay the source directlywith a credit card and have it shipped to my home or ?
Thanks again,
Scott

I found this information in a previous post from "buzzbombnc"on the same subject (see below). I had the same problem trying to find a US supplier for the DID part, but"buzzbombnc" was successful in finding a US supplier for a Tsubaki chain. Progress at least!

I found a US supplier for cam chains. They aren't D.I.D chains, but instead Tsubaki. Z1 Enterprises has them...even though they're out of stock after my purchase. Here's the chain:

http://www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=1728

And here's the master link:

http://www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=1860

I wasn't sure if the chain came with a bundled master link, but US$3 makes for cheap insurance.

The cheapest price on the cam tensioner and other parts I ordered was MRcycles.com across the board.

Hope that helps someone else as well!

Thank you again for the offer, Shadow1.

It's the chain that drives you camshafts. It is design to run for upwards of 70k miles between replacement and operate at hi speeds (also called HIVO chains). Instead of a drive chain with 2 sets of plates (left, right side), I think these have 6 sets of plates.

As far as what is special about the DID chain specifically, 1) it comes with a masterlink, which makes installation easier and 2) it is not OEM, which means it is much cheaper and hopefully will last longer too. The OEM chain seems to stretchprematurely.

I just past 70k miles (113k KM) the other day on my original chain. I must have gotten a mid-week chain
