Default Clutch won't work

Some of you may remember I had to replace my alternator chain last year. Since then I have had the engine in and out or the frame at least 3 times (I have lost count in my frustration) I think the engine is right now. But, I cannot make the hydraulic clutch work. I have rebuilt the master cylinder (real Honda parts from Japan) Bleed it. I have checked the slave and it seems to be OK. But, I can't really develop any pressure. Also the clutch rod that goes thru the engine to the clutch seems like it's just hitting something solid and won't move at all. Is supposed to be like that. There is nothing in the manual about the rod or even a picture of the way it operates. Anybody have any experience with this?

My guess is that it's not quite bled out 100% & there's no way you'll move the rod
by hand so it will feel like its hitting steel which it is...... takes hydraulic pressure
to make that baby move.

This all with the assumption the master is rebuilt 100% correctly too

My 2 cents

I'd agree with Sprock . Try bleeding the clutch again.

If you can pull the lever in, but the clutch won't disengage, there's air in the system.
If you can't move the lever and it feels "stuck" then there's a problem with the rod assembly on the bike, and there's no air in the system. The movement is soooooo short on the rod (only a few mm) it's probably either air in the system or a bent rod.
I'd bet on air in the system, as has been said above.

ok, i never could get any air to purge out of the system. So, to test the Master cylinder and help the trouble shooting (without the shotgun) I hooked the clutch slave cylinder up to the front brake master cylinder and purged the line backwards tightened it up and started pumping within 3 or 4 squeezes I could here things moving down at the slave cylinder so I switched it back to the clutch side back purged it and now everything works took it out on the road for the first time in many months and it pulled like a freight train. Maybe I forgot or maybe it likes all the work that has been done. Anyway thanks for the input guys.
