Changes to our forum

BIG thanx to Steve (CBRclassic), Pete (Shadow), and Gregg (Chainstretcher) for the time and efforts in improving our section cheers guys.
I think from what has already been suggested that using sub-forums and stickies within those would help all for navigation to specifics, it might be a bit hectic for those moderators (in who we trust) initially, but should iron itself out once people see what's going on. I personally think the 'Workshop' section with a 'How to do...' will be excellent. Most of us have Haynes manual which makes us stand on our head whilst trying to down a pint just to remove a nut, where a simple blow by blow by one of us (with pics) makes it so much easier to understand. As far as losing a 'off topic' chat intrest in the forum wouldn't happen, those regulars are here daily and people will post, though I do agree that too many sub-sections/stickies might take away the interreaction and give the impression of 'job done', we'll see.
Thanx again all involved.
Here's a pic for the 'how to...' section for all you sheep lovers out there.

We may be taking the time to set all this up , BUT , the hard work is going to be done by ALL of us, the members, that choose top participate by submitting the content ...
That will be the key to making this all worth while
So I would like to thank all you CBR 1000F members in advance , because from what I have seen around here , we have a bloody great bunch of guys , that I am sure will help us out, to the benefit of ALL the members..

Hello guys,
This is a big thanks for all of you that makes this one of my favorite places to go when I get a free minute, the way I see the forum is very interactive becasue you get questions coming from everywhere and touching all apects of different topics, from music and jokes trough changing your engine basically.
I agree that if we could summarize the very technical or complex repairs and fixes in a specific area would make life easier for people that is looking for some more "advanced" and detailed feedback.
But any way, as long as I can see my friends from Australia, South Africa, New Zeland, England, Scotland, Canada, USA, Sweden, Estonia, Argentina, Taiwan.....gathering together, I do not really care the format....
Saludos and V's!!!

Fixing the how to's
No, no Malbojah, I don't think they said that. I think your clutch replacement "how to" is great! I think they are saying that you don't need a saddle with (now get this Nick 93CBR) sturrips!!! Heck, one can ride a motorcycle and a sheep at once!!! I think the Aussies would agree, the dude on the motorcycle with the sheep is from New Zealand, right!!!
Mo777, thanks for the "Smile of the Day" picture!!! Hey Steve, which part of New Zealand is the rider from? Get out your "expert" tester and let us know.....
I got to copy that picture and send it to my cousin. He rode sheep as a kid and now he rides a HOG! Tell the Misses that I am still as disgusting as ever, Steve......
P.S. Yesterday, I copied the sheep pic, put it in a frame and as we speak it is on my cousin's kitchen table. He is on a overland truck trip (he is a hog rider and trucker), but when he gets home, the picture will bring back memories!

OK back to naming these boards then ...
Me , I recon ... than any names are ok as long as noobs can recognize them easily ?
but ...if I have to choose ..
The "CBR 1000F For-Sale Section" was named by Gregg, and I am fine with that :-) .. but may be
" The Cane Bikes and Bits Yard " ??
"The Workshop" is fine with me
" Off Topic" would do me , but " The Blood and Guts Saloon " would be kool if Gregg does not mind ??
" How Too's " sounds straight forward and is easy for noobs to spot
We are waiting for all you guys to suggest names before ALL this get going !!!
om growin old here , so get yu asses into gear and let us know

Broken down stickies
Oh, I didn't realize we were to come up with names (I did not have a shot of Jagermister so I am a little confused - wait I don't drink Jagermister what am I thinking?). Are we going to categorize the technical repair section into Electrical troubleshooting, Cooling system troubleshooting, Fuel delivery system troubleshooting, Engine troubleshooting, etc?
Are the "Bucket of Blood Saloon" or whatever we call it sections going to have a way to tie our thoughts together? Meaning, if we are looking to just talk to a (what did you call them? Peeps - that could be a baby chicken to an American) peep, you might go to "The Saloon" to talk with a friend? If you are looking to discuss riding techniques, you might go to "The Track" to talk riding skill improvements? Of course, generic "The Track" or "The Saloon" would sound better if the were named, "The Bucket of Blood Saloon" or "Dead Man's Track" (note the possessive form of Man).
Some times I have to pull up my big girls panties to get things straightened out, so help me with me panties.... Am I on the right track???

Technical how to's will all be in one place, irrespective of whether electrical, mechanical carburetion etc.I don't think we need to split it any more than that.
Bucket of blood/off topic/general non-specific chat section
a place to hang out, tell jokes, sheep you have shagged, etc
Ideas for useful sections that will allow members some lattitude
Owners and their bikes/ trips/ etc
Whatever - the composition's up to you - this's a democratic society
well, mostly.............
