I tell you, if there is a way to adjust those floats, or their level, I didn't see a way. The entire body of the float is plastic, not exactly an adjustable type of material if you know what I mean. As for how it's attached, it has a pivot shaft that goes through the float (seen at the very top of photo) and slides through 2 posts. The height of the posts are not adjustable, and the only other attachment point is where it hooks to the Float Valve, and that part is not adjustable either. I didn't attempt to make any adjustments to the carburetor while it was apart. I put everything back in exactly the same way it came out (minus the dirt and grime naturally).

I meant to add a photo of where I left the hoses for future sync jobs. I'll edit the post and add the additional photo if I can. If not, I'll add here.

Well, it looks like 5 is the limit for here, so I'm including the following photo here. The is where I've left the vacuum extensions that I attached to each of the ports on the intake manifold. I've temporarily placed an adapter that came with my Carbtune in place of the screw that plugs port #4. I'll replace it later with one like on port 1-3. Each hose has a plug on it with a white adapter piece in the end of it. There is a blue tie wrap holding them all together so they don't fall down below the carbs. The last photo shows the white "T" adapter I installed in the vacuum line that goes from port #1 to the petcock vacuum actuator on the fuel valve. This way I don't need to worry about manually attaching some kind of tool to generate a vacuum so the fuel flows.

I also gave some thought to attaching tubing like you did so I can just hook the gauge up and go. But alas I was lazy and wanted to get out and ride, so I didn't. Next time I do a sync I'll install the tubing.

Hi DRam and everyone

I also own a 1991 Huricane and the manual I have is for a 1993, so there's some differences in the type of carbs, and I can't figure out how to connect the sync tubes.
If you would have an illustration from your manual or perhaps some pics on how and where to connect the tubes, I would be very gratefull.

You are replying to a very old thread. Most of the members are long gone.
Your best bet is to start your own thread, including pictures of your setup.

 

the sync tubes go on the head not the carbs. Find the vacuum line from the petcock, the others are similarly located.

Next question is about the adjustment: I read 3rd carb is the master and can't be adjusted, but all 4 carbs have equal amount of crews. Or is there a vise I can't see?
