Default Cane - change of vocation

I've been off for a while, unfortunately my Cane and I went highsiding and we are both undergoing recovery. The Cane is an economic write off, BUT, it's telling me it wants to be rebuilt as a naked street fighter!

I need to put a few things into place and wondered if anyone has stripped a cane naked - removing the head fairing?

Any advice would be welcome.

Craig

Bad news, Boink - good to hear from you again.
Stripping everything off a Cane is fairly simple.
The manual tells you how......(I can give you most of it in point form)
I did this to mine only this week.........(plus removed all the instruments)
I have a 'how to' in the works for instrument removal if you need it....!

Thanks guys, Shads - my instrument dashis cracked - not the instrucments - just the dash, I'll go part shopping shortly and then look at your how to. Got plenty of time. Bugger though - rode all winter and then dropped it at the start of summer. I'll keep it posted with pics...

OK - just bear in mind that the rear section you need is from 89-92 instruments.
I have a full set of 93's which won't fit at all !
I have comparative pics if you need one......

Hi Craig.

At least your in one piece and your baby can be rebuilt.

If ya get stuck on anything specific, give me a holla as i've striped 2 down to just engines in frames, and built one great one.

Cheers.

Maybe you could start a new thread titled "streetfighter".
There are some members that have undergone the process of building streetfighters.
