Can someone please explain what

"line bored and honed" means

In simple english, so that i, in my feeble mechanic mind can understand.

Does it mean as the engines are assembled the cam caps are inserted the drilled in place.

Not sure

You have it about right. The cam caps are installed, torqued, and then bored and honed to spec. Then the caps are removed, cams installed, and everything is bolted together.
As I understand it the process is used to make certain the bearings are perfectly in line as well as within specs.

DRam has it right. The bottom end bearings (conecting for and main bearings) are done this way too.
