Default Braking Issue

I noticed since I bought my Hurricane, when I'm coming to a stop, just as I'm about to completely stop, the front brake pulses...alot. Could I need new pads as the guy said they were new and with no downtime from work, I havn't had a chance to check. If not a pad issue, could it be something more serious?

How's the color of the brake fluid ? Brown colored fluid means moisture in the brake fluid. It changes the consistancy of it and can give a kind of jerky grabby feeling.

I'll check when I get out for lunch. Hopefully it's something easy like that. I was planning on changing fluids this weekend. Guess I'll be starting MUCH earlier. Thanks for the idea.

Sounds like either warped discs or sticking pistons.

I've had warped discs, and you'd feel the vibrations right through the speed range, not just at low speed.....I'm with Idodirt (Hi Bill) on this one...change the fluid to dot 4.

My bike did this too. I changed the fluid and pads(because the pads were worn) and it still did it. The owners manual, or maybe another manual I read, said that if it does this, check the tightness of the bolts on the linkage on the front wheel. One in particular.(Just check them all) I checked it and it was loose. After I tightened it the problem was gone. I did talk to a motorcycle mechanic several weeks ago and he said a wheel bearing would cause the same problem.

The reason I asked was could it have anything to do with the Anti Dive Case. I noticed that the brake assembly moves back and forth when you move it with your hand on the left side where the ADC is but the right side assembly will not move. By the way I own a 87 Hurricane.
