I had the same problem with the brakes "pulsing". I had only had the bike a week and when I looked closely I found that some cowboy had put 2 odd disks on it! They are both Honda, but I think one is off a CBR600 (different wear limits, don't correct me, I don't care!).

In desperation I swapped the pads from one side to the other and the improvement was amazing, the pulsing is virtually gone. However I appreciate that this is not acceptable (before anyone tells me so!) And I have the disks and pads on order to replace the whole lot.

It seems that as bikes get to a certain age some owners refuse to spend any money on them, the previous owner had modified a throttle grip to fit on the clutch side so that he didn't have to spend £6 on new ones! Strange.

A small bit of info here that may be helpful. The front rotors are the same from '90 up. The calipers changed for the linked brakes but the rotors are the same. Hello, Ebay?
