Default Front brake discs

Hi guys,

Does anyone of you know on which other Honda the front brake discs of an F4 have been mounted ?
I'd like to buy some from a salvage, but if I know of more bikes equipped with those, then this will help the guy finding them.

TIA

Cheers,

Jerome

I believe most of the 99-2003 model F4/F4i's have the same rotor disks, but I could be wrong. it would be easier to salvage a 00-02 F4i's disks for the proper fit. You might want to check out getting some used from an ebay auction. But to me perfectly honest I havn't done the research on replacement parts off other bikes. I know that OEM parts, if found at the correct website can save you more money than buying 2-3 sets of used ones and replacing them more often.

depending on where you are, there are some good quality non-standard makes out there. i've been running some for 40,000 miles, i wore the originals out with heavily sintered pads. You run the risk of buying warped or worn out discs from non reputable sources of second hand bits.

Rotors are like this, I learned the hard way....99/2000 F4 use one type... 2001-2006/7 F4i are another type and arent compatable with the 99-2000

I think my buddy is going to try to put the calipers from a 929 on my buddies F4.

No idea if it will work at all but just a thought.

The only reason they are trying this is because my buddiesF4 calipers are f'ed and my other buddy just got a 1000RR set foor his 929.

Heh, yeah.

Hi there i am sure f4i rotors don't fit f4, as well as CBR900 '96. I tried But CB900 rotors should fit.

929RR are for sure not radial, my buddy just swapped out his front end for a 1000RR front end.

Per EBC's spec page.

For an F4 you are pretty screwed. Your closest bet is a 92-93 and 98-99 900rr Both are 320mm dia - but ebc sells a 320 for the F4 and F4i

Matches for F4i

03-06 600RR 310mm dia - should clear caliper...same mounting and offset
04-06 1000RR - same as above, but .5mm thicker than F4i
RC51 - .5mm thicker, 320mm dia....might not clear the caliper, but same mounting and offset
