Default Big bore

Ok people,

Anyone know where I could locate a big bore kit for my 93'? Wesico pistons has it but requires I order 3 kits! Or 12 pistons. So that's a chunk of money. I am getting a new used engine soon so I will be rebuilding the old one for drag use. Getting into drag racing and my old fart keeps up just fine with them new bikes. Maybe it cuz I hardly weigh anything. But I am hunting this bore kit, and I'm working on designs for a turbo. I love drag racing, I love my bike, why not combine the two? It's a heavy bike I know but I have some ideas to slim her down without making her look like crap.

Any ideas and suggestions to get more oomph out of her are welcome.

Sounds cool! So are you going to do an extensive port and polish on the head and give it some more camshaft? Any idea on compression ratio? I guess that's dependent on the turbo...
I like the sound of it! Good luck

Ebay usually has everything. check it out. i bought mine off there. the rest i left to the shop mechanics. mine is a 97 cbr 900 though. and it was a heck of a chuck of change once all the parts were in. big bore kit ( 800$) other parts weren't cheap either.

just checked ebay, they're all from weisco. sorry!

My bike is 1mm oversize. GSXR1127 pistons with valve pockets machined out for clearance. Don't know what size you want, but I hear Blackbird pistons can be used if you bore out and resleeve. At the 2mm oversize you need for the bird piston you won't have much sleeve left so need to work bigger sleeves in then machine to spec

My 93 has the 2mm o/size wiseco pistons and the bore was just machined to suit, no probs. The kits were on ebay...may be again? You will just have to keep your eye out!
