D.I.D. x-ring is the only way to go!!! www.calsportbike.com has awesome prices on stuff and usually ships out pretty quick too!! I just put one on my 93 1000F. World of difference!! Go for it!!!

I got a 120 link chain and I had to cut 6 off. By 120 link I mean you have to count both inner and outter (sp.?) links. So when I cut off 6 (3 inner and 3 outter) it gave me 114.......wow, math is cool!!![8D] But to answer your question, yes 114.
Standard CBR is 114 links.
I have a DID gold X-rain racing chain. I have had it for 20,000k's of very hard riding. (I'm a big boy as well).
They only reason Im getting rid of it was that my sprockets are knackered and I always replace all as a set.

On my 87 1000k, I normally run an RK SXO. I think that's what it's called. Anyway, that's what we carry the most of at the shop and it's not really that expensive. I've absolutely abused the hell out of it for the last 15k and it's pretty tired. I haven't lubed it as much as I should, I've never cleaned it, and since the big bore 15k ago, that chain has suffered. It's just about at the end of it's life.
