And yes, I have found my battery and electrical system output to be better.
I've never liked the OEM reg/rec - it's not designed to be "rugged", ie take extreme heat. Japan's climate isn't like some of the really hot climates elsewhere, and unfortunately some of their designs don't take this into account.
Snow they get, 45C summers aren't the norm.

Ah the heat factor. That makes sense. Funny that the Japs can design cars that take the heat OK but not bikes. Nobody's perfect.
I like the look of the electrex kit. Thanks for the heads up.
When mine breaks, that's how I'll fix it.
