Avgas
I am being told that a half avgas to regular 93 octane mix every once in a while is good for the CBR1000F. I was told that it will clean the jets and the carbs. Is this true? Since I like my bike, I am making sure before doing anything.

That is different than fuel injector cleaner right? I added fuel injector cleaner and the backfires were incredible.
What cleaner did you use? Backfires means mixtures aren't burning properly.
Also AvGas is leaded petrol for piston engines with lower density and you'll end up with leaner mixtures that can cause damage. Jet-A and Jet-A1 is kerosene.
Best is PEA-based fuel-system cleaners that was designed with only that purpose in mind. Use a bottle every couple months to keep engine clean. Follow mixing instructions on bottle. One should treat about 3 tanks.

- Red Line SI-1
- Techron Concentrate Plus
- 3M Max Strength Fuel System Cleaner #08814
- Royal Purple Max Atomizer 18000
- Gumout All-in-One (might be off list soon due to dropping levels of PEA)
