Anyway all seems well for now .......but I'm switching that clutch out when
I lay her up at the end of November when the snow and ice BS starts.
That way I'm good to go in March.

Anyone know anything about the Barnett Kevlar clutch Kits out on Ebay
comes with springs, plates and discs ??
S'always the best way Sprock , if you can't trust yourself then WTF??

As for the clutch , if it's only an hours work and she's layed up anyhoo , you'd best change it , for peace of mind if nothin' else

Don't know anything about those clutch plates , worth a try though?

Don't forget to soak them clutch plates in WD40

WD 40 ............you would bring that up......... Geezus ........
like a never ending nightmare....... but yeah I should just
change it .............but where she's stopped doing it and
Dean0 was saying something about moly in Delo 400,
gonna wait and see if it starts doing it again.

Funny since I put the Delo in it's grippy as hell

Ride that Bitch Sprock!!

If it aint broke , don't fix it!

Was just sayin' if your gonna take her off the road , it may be worth doing so you don't have probs' during the next summer?

Hell I'm still riding my bike with leaky fork seals and brake pads down to the metal!! So long as the sun shines , I'm in the saddle

So ...they ain't giving me a straight answer but I'm suspecting some EC
chit went in (energy conserving) or auto slippery .........it's the only explanation, and the kid they had doing the work is no longer there ......go figure

Told the owner if the clutch wigs out on me he's doing it on the house.
he agreed........lot of LE guys I work with have their bikes with him
so ........I got some traction with this fricken revelation ......Geezus
These guys usually do great work .........but this has me wondering now

Me thinks I'll find a new shop to frequent
Thank GOD! I thought I was loosing my mind. It seemed like there had to be a gap in the old causal chain.

I hate the ghost in the machine mystery. Especially when I'm riding one too.

Can't comment on the Barnett kevlar clutch but did try an EBC kevlar clutch in my CBR1000F.

Took it out after two months !! - far to snatchy and on/off nature for my liking.

Probably great if your in to traffic light grand prix or racing but didn't like it for road use.

Went with an EBC standard clutch + 10% uprated springs and all was good.

Default sounds like real good advice

Sounds like what I wanted to hear DeanO .....I was thinking
that's exactly what they might be like also was wondering
how the kevlar "wearings" would do suspended in oil being
pumped around the motor and bearings not to mention
I'd say the kevlar would chew up the steel plates real fast
like kevlar pads do with brake discs (rotors)

EBC it is so ............ old tech is sometimes way better

Thx

Sprock

Sounds like its made for snicking gears within 2000 rpm of redline on a regular basis. If I was riding like that, I'd be dead already.
