Okay Dylan Rotella is **** water ................
I launched a missile at your house. It'll take a little while to get there, though. I hope you're sleeping by then...

Malbojah, that's a great writeup. I've looked at that one a couple times before. Hell of a good job on that.

Dao, lol..
Reminds me of that guy Todd on the TV show "Scrubs" LOL..

Sprock, that thread makes me think even I could do this. I'm so excited I'm going to go slip my clutch so I can replace it.

malbojah - I had forgotten about your "how to" - very good

The only thing I do extra is to park the bike on a 1/2" plank of wood to let it lean over further on it's side stand.

Then you dont need to drop the oil and non leaks out of the clutch housing when you open it.

getting worse I 'll grab a set of EBC clutch plates and a camera !
I would also do the springs at the same time - would be a shame to do the clutch plates only to find out it was soft springs causing the issue - EBC say their springs are uprated - I couldn't feel anything at the lever so I'll take their word for it.

I was just thinking about this ...clutches if used correctly are very long lasting, never had one go in a car or bike and my F2s were on original clutches with 45,000 miles up and it still felt sharp and new ... but, I do have a lot of mechanical sympathy when I ride or drive.......

Carrying a pillion and riding through towns is the biggest clutch killer even if you have mechanical sympathy when riding.

When riding solo - Except for setting off from a standstill - i rarely use the clutch going up the box on the blackbird - just ease the throttle and snik it up in to the next gear.
