Default Another Clutch Issue

What does late engagement of the clutch indicate? On my 90 model the clutch lever is 90+ percent released before the clutch even starts to engage. I've noticed no slipping and she has 23K miles on the clock.

Check fluid level, slave cylinder and lever adjustment for starters.

Look for an light oily residue/leak on the bottom of the front sprocket cover.

If you find it so chances are the clutch slave cylinder is leaking - just like
Hawkwind indicated

There is good fluid in the master, not sure on the small leak though. I'll get under the plastics tomorrow and take a look. She's not dripping anything on the ground though.

yeah they don't really drip on the ground when they do as it's a small leak
that tends just to stick to the sprocket cover chain & kickstand swivel area
more of an oily stained dampness.

When my 1990 had the issue ( hard to engage or release gears ) I ended up
doing both the upper master and lower slave and cleaning all the brown yellow
oxidized fluid crud out of the whole system.
