Also part way through my UK Advanced riders course so getting as much road time in as possible.
And - I have to own up - I bought a Blackbird "cough, cough".
1997 carb model in RED. 21000 miles, showroom condition, VFR800 bars. Zero Gravity touring screen.
Just felt so nice on the test ride - I couldn't resist.
CBR1000FL goes to new home this weekend.

I've been debating the same thing - friend has a black 99 carb model with 11000 miles up in immaculate condition I can have for 3000 pounds - just have to convince the Minister of Home affairs....he he
Oh, and just because you change your bike doesn't mean you have to change your friends.[8D]
Visit often - R1000 does, and he's got a cough cough Hayabusa !
C'mon - post up pics of the new "Lady" in your life !

She looks to be in excellent shape - lucky man !
When you have some miles behind you, I'm sure a comparison report between the two bikes would be a good and informative read.......

I guess it's the "Mass Centralisation" they harp on about.
For identical speeds down the same road - the blackbird takes less effort to do the same thing.
Watch this space for further updates.

Okay, back on topic.....
I put an adjustable clutch lever from my girlfriends 1998 VFR 800 and it fits perfect! I noticed that the aftermarket levers for the VTR1000 were the same model numbers as the VFR. She had a spare, so on it went. Looks exactly like the CBR brake lever only a mirror image.
I might get the aftermarket polished ones for a little extra bling. But file this under parts from the VFR that fit the 'Cane!
