Default 88 Honda Hurricane

I just installed an engine from a 1991 cbr1000f into my 1988 cbr1000f. I have no spark at the cylinder and when i researched the diagrams it shows the 1991 engine has one pulser vs the 1988 has two! Can i take the pulsers out of the 88 block and install on the new engine? Do I need to rewire?
