ORIGINAL: bensben

I tried something like that last year with halogen bulbs, ignoring the stock output specifications. 4 weeks into the conversion my wiring harness got fried.
Ouch, which halogen bulbs? I have 55/60 's I believe. The stock ones are 45 correct?

Mike: I used the converter ring on Silverstars for my 93. What a difference!!! I think it was 12 including SH. I thought it was worth it since I just got my new HIDs and am getting ready to install them. These were 177.00 incl SH and are Hi Lo's. Cant wait to install and fire them up. With this mod, I will not have a single incandescent bulb left. HID and LEDS only. Even the gauges are overlays/backlit EL from Streetracerparts.com.

Captain: I've read some of your farkle installs. Very nice write ups. I am also in support of a 1KF only mods link.

Which did you get from Streetracerparts.com? I can't seem to find the 1000F.

Mike, I think you have to call and talk to them directly. I had mine made semi/custom. What year is your bike? I have a spareset for any early "cane" like 87 90, i think. I sent in an earlier year than my 93 to use as a copy of the face gauges. Let me know.

Heavy , it was on ebay... here's the link...ebay #190089518860 seller was flashplus. The nice thing about this kit was that it was Hi/LO HID Only. Some kits sell LOW only with a halogen bulb for the HI . This kit has the bulbs that move and reaim the light to create Hi/LO. This week or next they are going in. Ill have pics ASAP.
