1991 California model. Whats so special about it?
the california models have diffferent carb specsand a lot of evaporative emissions equipment. Tons of vacuum lines and various valves that re- route engine blow- by back through the air box and seal off the fuel tank venting when the engine is off.
No overall power difference, though the idle circuit is a little bit leaner. Head, cams, etc are all the same, don't believe the conspiracy theorists! No such thing as a 100 HP model for the States, either. That's something I believe that the German market was rumored to have?? Full power all the way around.
You can dis-connect/ remove all of the equipment; you must then vent the fuel tank to atmosphere and add a line from the cam cover to the airbox; then craft a drain line from the air boxthat's cappedbut able to be removed for occasional draining.
