Default 1990 cbr1000f, clutch issue, help needed

My clutch is not slipping.

but my clutch lever, is just barely engaging. It's getting harder to put into gear. The pull is easy on the hydro.

but I'm pulling it almost all the way in until the clutch is working, versus, 1/4 or 1/2, when pulling in the the clutch lever.

I'm 3/4 pull, until it works, I'm almost pulling the clutch all the way to the handle grip.

looking for what us wrong, or needs checked or replaced, fluid level is fine on the hydro.

fresh oil change and filter. Not synthetic.

no slip on clutch.

thsnks

Have you tried bleeding the clutch ,could be low clutch oil with air in.

Also check the clutch slave cylinder mounting screws, they might be loose.

As above really.

A quick visual check should show any obvious faults, like low fluid/loose slave cylinder.

Otherwise it's best to bleed the system. Who knows when it was last done and how old the fluid is. Not a lot can go wrong with such a simple system really.

Does your lever have adjustment ? I would have thought so.
Hope you get it sorted mate.
