Default 520 Sprocket Conversion

Hi All,
Hope everyone is ok, I'm looking to replace the chain and sprockets on my 1990 CBR1000FK but I want to use a 520 setup?
Has anyone done this? any recommendations? where can I buy them?

Regards.

I think JTsprockets can provide what you need.
Why do you want to convert to 520? Weight saving? You know the bike itself weighs a ton, don't you.

Hi,
I've tried the JT catalogue, but no good, I've searched others, but it looks like I either get a 520 blank and machine the holes or get a cutom one made?

I'll continue my search......

Stay Safe everyone.

Also, the links on the 530 are 1/8 inch further apart than the 520 and the rollers are 1/8 inch wider. The 520 will wear out sooner.

Hi,
I'm on weight saving/performance drive, as I've replaced a lot of components with aluminium and over bored the motor.
The chain is only a part of the program.....modern chains are a lot stronger nowadays....

Regards

With all respect, but I've never heard anyone winnig because they had a 520 chain instead of a 530.
And the reason I would not convert is because a stronger chain has some marging for degrading (which one can notice) before breaking.
