it's not much of a chip, well it tells your ecu that your getting cold air which in turn will add fuel to compensate and advance the timing, which should give u a faster response at the throttle, found on ebay, not exactly sure how well it works, need to locate the sensor first, but will update a response once i find out

Don't buy that 'chip'. There's absolutely nothing to be gained by richening up things when the bike is warm unless you like pushing the bastard or waiting an hour til it cools[8D] Oh, and some really cool backfires when decelling. Buy a power commander and install a map for your mods or better yet have a personal dyno map created for your bike. On some bikes (Busa's in particular) the IAT was a little too close to the engine and therefore moving it an inch away made the bike run better. But those issues seem to be rare and only involve moving the stock IAT not installing something different.

As far as the K&N filters, I've been hearing the same stuff - that the new stock filters flow just as well. A big advantage to the K&N is that once you buy it, it's there forever. Just clean it and lightly re-oil and that bad boy's good as new.

K&N on a my 2000 F4 (M4 pipe) required a
Jet-kit / Carb Sync to work right.

Bike worked great with stock filter, K&N caused big problems
after about 10,000rpm. Switched back to stock, all was good.

Added Jetkit/carbsync/reinstall K&N and she ran better then ever.

On stock bike, K&N's are crap.

BMC is a good filter. Check out what Rogue Racing has to say about them: http://www.rogueracing.org/bmc.htm
