I want new lighting
Ok. Look. I have stock turn signals on my 02 954RR. I've tried aftermarket signals with negative results. I ordered a set of led signals that looked really cool (visible circuit board with several LED's) but were a pain in the **** to install and the quality was crap. I put the stockers back on and gave the junk away to a friend.
A friend of mine has an 05 Ninja 636 completely stock. His stock signalslook so much better than mine. They're amber of course and very "jewel like" if you know what i mean.
I'd like to find some signals from a new model CBR that look like those. I havn't paid much attention to what Honda is using on the 06's and 07's. I want something that will simple plug in and bolt up just like the stockers. I don't mind the size of the stockers I just want a more contemporary lens shape and design.
Does anyone know what the new bikes have? Will Kawasaki signals plug right up?
Now for the Headlamp. I'm not paying for HID. I've tried several kinds of aftermarket bulbs. Some blue looking, some purple looking. I saw Hella had some H-7's out. I know Piaa is just about the best. But very expensive. Worth it?
Phillips has the "blue vision" (i think they're new). I want a hyper white or even a blue light.

I got a set of BMW HID's BiXenon bulb, ballast, projector. I opened up the housing and cut into the reflectors to allow the projector space to mount right to the housing. Mounting to the housing gives me full ajustability just like stock. The advantage to this is that I have both sides low beam and both high. Got the set up from a friend that works at a repair shop where they throw that stuff away. cost me only 120 for everything. Of course loads of work to get them in. I'll post pics in a few days.
HID PNP kits are generally crap. The glare is awful, the beam pattern gets messed up and most people get HIDs which are atrociously blue. Blue light is really bad for your vision, you can't focus on it like lower color temperatures.
4000k is the rule for ALL OEM and the only DOT approve HID color. As you go up in color, you lose light output, and make it difficult to see. Your eyes are very sensitive to blue light, but the blue receptors are outside your focal point so it is distracting to try and focus...
Any Tinted bulb is crap, period. You lose light, and you get fuzzy vision.
The best thing for H7 headlights is the H9 bulb on H7 base, which is available from daniel stern lighting (google it). It's 2x the brightness and only 65w instead of 55w. Without doing a whole lot of work to mount HID projectors in the headlights, your best bet is these bulbs.
LED aftermarket brake lights, clear alternative type turn signals, flush mount LEDs are also crap. LEDs are SOOOO DIM compared to halogen bulbs. Each regular 5mm LED is only 3/4 lumen. The 21w bulbs in there stock are 400 lumens... if you actually could fit 500 LEDs, you might come close to output similar to stock, but It's safe to say that most if not all aftermarket lighting is crap.
I'm a moderator on HIDPlanet, a lighting forum, if you have any questions about the best lighting, feel free to peruse. I'm prepared to backup any of the above statements.

I've done 2 for cars:

But it is a hell of a lot of work... but the best you can possibly have. Please share pics, space is so tight, I don't know if I could fit anything in the F4i housing...
Example:

I got my HID conversion from xenonrider.com
You can choose from several bulb temps (I thnk that's what it's called) and I chose 6000K. The light has a bare tinge of blue and they light the road incredibly well. From what I see, there isn't an issue with the beam pattern.
