Does anyone know if a diffrent year triple tree will fit??? I have a 1996, 900RR. I know where I can get triple trees for a good price for years 98, 95, and 94...I want to purchase a triple tree to experiment with. I'm going to do the dirt bike conversion on my handlebars. I need to have an extra tree in case I screw up.

 

I dont know off of the top of my head, maybe some one else does.....But you can call your local dealer and havem look up the part number for your bike and for another year. if it is the same part, it should carry the same part number.... of course their are suttle changes to the bikes over the years, so the closer you stay to your year the less things should change....sortof....

imfact you might try Bike bandit, they have exploded views of parts lists. type in the infon your bike and you can see parts for it, change the year and you can look for changes.

 

you are gonna want 95 thru 97 as 98-99 went 10 mm wider on the t tree

 

Crzy1laz is correct, you want the 95-97 900 RR triple clamp, 98-99 is wider and the rake is different on the early models from what I have read
