Undertail vs Fender Eliminator
So, this kind of came up on another post, but I don't know if it was clearly defined or not. I thought these were the same thing, but with two different names. Can someone explain to a stupid guy what the difference is. I want to get rid of all the crap underneath my F4i, but do not want to order the wrong thing. Thanks in advance.
A fender eliminator gets rid of your bulky, stock license plate bracket/mud flap (hence the name). And if I'm not mistaken, an undertail is like a bottom rear fairing that covers up the empty space underneath the tail and hides all that junk for a cleaner, solid look. It fits "under-the-tail" (again, hence the name).
I'll go one step further...An undertail is a very nice color matched item that compliments the looks of your bike as well as getting rid of the huge fender that comes stock. A fender eliminator is a very over price piece of bent metal that gives you some place to mount your license plate and does not compliment the looks of your bike at all!!!
Chaos, that is exactly what I needed to hear. I want an undertail! I will have one, and it will be cool, and I will stand atop the mountain and sing my bike's priases to the world...Can I get a witness form the congregation!!!
