TURBO
i would ask them to produce it first, then tell them to show you a dyno chart to prove it. i wouldnt want a company that just slaps a turbo under the tail and calls it a day to work on my bike. im not bad mouthing them but i think a companys products speak for themselves. i dont reccommend building a turbo kit to anyone who is asking about it. i have to agree with blackdog in that if you are aksing how hard it is to do, then it is definately way over your head. if you have experience in turbocharging, the project is about an 8 to complete. there are a lot of components that need modified, moved, or removed for a front mount to work on an f4i. i just dont understand if they COULD produce a front mount kit, why didnt they just do that in the first place? just my thoughts.
yes man iv been readin this book i got and its everthing about a turbo and how to install it i just wanted some advice of how hard it was goin to be.. and no i have no experince with installin a turbo but everyone got to start some were!!
Also, Could I get a mod to clean this thread of the usless posts? Thanks a lot. To Turbof4i: I'm probably gonna keep it reasonable around 4 or 5lbs and I'd like to have something that spools around 7 or 8g so I can drive the bike normally and have the extra power higher in the rev range. My guess is that a T25 would be a good match. I'm still learning all about it so I'd ask that you could bare with me. Another thing, is there any reason to go with an extrenal wastegate? And I saw that one of the sites above lists a turbo kit and the BOV is optional. Wouldn't you get severe compresser surge without a BOV?
Thanks to those who actually care enough to try and help me out, it's appreciated.

you definately are going to want a BOV. yes you are correct it will definately have compressor surge. i dont reccommend building a kit yourself because it is a pain to fabricate the manifold from scratch. on my bike i had to move the oil filter which needed special fittings, and radiator. before you start ask yourself if you would attempt to turbocharge your daily driver yourself and if the answer is no, then i wouldnt try your bike. if you must turbo your bike yourself at least take it to a professional for dyno tuning. it is VERY important that you dont run your bike without PC tuning. the turbo map is nothing like an n/a map. a t-25 is going to be kind of laggy for a 600. it will spool late and then come on violenty up top. if you can find slightly smaller it would be better for driveability and fitment. trust me there is NO extra room on these bikes after a turbo is on there. you may experience radiator fittment issues. im just getting mine worked out. it is in the stock location but the bottom is closer to the tire and can rub the tire under hard braking because my bike is lowered like 3".
