does anyone remember turbo d bikes from the 80s, they were pretty useless, imagine the unpredictable handling accelerating out of corners when suddenly the turbo spools up the back wheel drifts and you hit the car coming round the corner mmm nice. stick to the quarter miles eh?

Check with MrTurbo or Velocity Racing ... if they don't have something already built for your bike they would know who does.

There is a turbo F4i on the F4i forum that you may want to look at. Maybe PM him for particulars on a kit.

i mean other than the fact of yes you can have a 1k for the price of turboing your 600 with bike trade in and all. I'm from Homemadeturbo so i say go for it and if you need any help hit me up. Id look into pieceing together a homemade kit using like a mitsi turbo. 14b or a t-25

Exhaust manifold and plenum are the hard parts to find/fabricate. Intake manifold will remain the same -- plenum will fit over the throttle bodies. Seeing as you're having such a hard time finding pre-made kits it should ring a little bell that says to you "hmmmmm, maybe it's daft to build a turbo 600RR." I say this not to discourage you but just to add a bit of reality to the mix. Unless you have quite a bit of fabrication knowledge and can weld up a plenum and exhaust manifold yourself it'll be extremely expensive to have a shop make one. Then you gotta decide what your peak HP is gonna be and determine the airflow and RPMs that it'll take with a 600RR and then match a turbo to this airflow. Next you gotta decide if the stock injectors will flow enough gas -- even with only 4# of boost you're gonna max the stock injectors I fear. Then you'll need bigger fuel pump and a fuel regulator.

All this stuff needs to be on paper and the math has to be close to perfect before you start fiddling with parts -- trying to tune mismatched things will prove to be fatal to your engine and will just drive you nuts. So unless you find a kit (and with all the searching I can't find one) I'd say save yourself a big headache and go another route.

i dont want a 1000 i just want a really fast 600
See, that is what leads to getting flamed. You asked for opinions, and they are pretty unanimous, that it is dangerous, an accident waiting to happen, bad for the bike, and all around not worth it.

You are letting your ego and the fact that you want to tell your friends that you have the fastest 600 around, get in the way of common sense. If you want fast, get a literbike. A new CBR or GSX-R, even an R1, are all barely bigger than your 600. They weight close to the same, but have an extra 50HP on tap, in a chassis that can handle it, with the properly matcheds transmission, clutch, suspension, etc...

You don't want to be a ricer, do you? If the 600 is not fast enough, go get a bike that is. But trying to pimp out your 600 for bragging rights is silly, and I think that everyone will agree.

I agree ^^^ completely. I'm also tired of being quiet about this matter, so here it goes.

Why the hell would you turbo a 600?! Why are people even entertaining this idea. It is NOT that type of bike. Obviously he hasn't researched this topic enough, and despite everyone telling him not to do it he just keeps on asking where to buy one. Bro, it's great that you want to do something different to your bike. Everyone does, but a turbo on a 600 is not reasonable. I don't know anything about this guy, how long he has been riding, how much he knows about bikes, or what type of mechanic he is. But every indication leads me to believe that this will only end in a very bad manor. So once again, if you want to 'beat' your buddies while riding in a straight line then go buy a bigger bike. If you want to be a better rider and thus faster then your buddies go buy twist of the wrist I and II. I'm done, thankyou and have a nice day.
