Default taking baffle out of exhaust NEED advice

i have a 02 f4i, i cut the canister on the welds at where the 2.5" pipe attaches to the base. well the silencer if you never saw it, has a plate in the middle of the canister and a 1.25" pipe on one side that almost goes to the top of the muffler then theres a 10" piece of pipe from the tip to almost the metal plate in the muffler. so the exhaust is going into the 1.25" pipe then reflecting from the top back to the plate where it then reflects into the pipe which then exits the exhaust. theres a lot of unnessary backpressure. so im going to cut out the whole plate so its straight thru like almost every aftermarket exhaust. so i was going to weld a piece of pipe 2.5 inch. in diameter and the length of the muffler. i was going to drill a bunch of holes and then rap it in exhaust packing. and slip everything in and weld it back up. i know it will be louder and also shorter which i want. my question is has anyone lefted it opened after cutting the plate out? there's packing in the muffler already so will it be to loud or not flow right, without putting in the 2.5" pipe with the holeI. i dont believe it will be harmful because the muffler in stock form is really restrictive compared to wide open.

Default RE: taking baffle out of exhaust NEED advice

you're loosing critical back pressure that the bike needs to keep horsepower up. Why are you doing this anyway? If your doing this for performance just stop what your doing. The only reason i could see you doing this is for stunt purposes which will only help you with the 12 o'clock wheelies. Good luck though.
