Default streching a 600?

just out of curiosity, does anyone have any info on stretching an 05 600rr? I am doing it purely for the looks. It's my cruiser not a racer. I also own a 1000rr. That's my speed demon.

get your shield ready, alot of the members on here like to dump on threads like this. stretching isn't too popular.

but i see what you're saying. you have a 1000rr. why not make the 600 a show bike? there are cheap and expensive options for stretching. the cheap option is swingarm extensions and can be found everywhere. ebay is full of them. all you would need is a longer chain and brake line. this is a good option for budget minded people, those who want to switch back and forth for some reason, and those unfamiliar with stretching and how they will like it. there are quite a few companies around that will stretch factory swingarms to fit stock size and larger tires. you can even apply options such as bracing and nitrous oxide bottle brackets. anything can be done.

sorry i wasn't too helpful with specific companies but i have only recently started to check out the options for stretching a bike. let me/us know what you find and what you decide on.

Coby Adams did mine. I sent him the swingarm and had a 6-10 inch adjustable links welded in. Then had the swingarm powder coated black to match my frame. You will need a longer chain and a longer rear brake line. A better rear shock is good too, or just tighten your stock shock a few clicks. If you buy a used swingarm make sure to replace all the bearings in it.

Ask Eddie1000rr he's got a stretched RR. I'm sure he can give you some pointers.

Yo thanks for the input. I decided to go ahead and get a whole new swingarm. I figure if I am going to spend 200+ dollars on something it will be permanent and I will be confident in its integrity. I will let you all know who I decide to go through. Still researching that part...
