Default RR8 Exhaust Question

Guys,

I want to upgrade my stock exhaust on my RR8 to a nice slip-on can.
I don't want anything stupidly loud but want something with a nice bass sound that won't give me a headache.
Being new to bikes, I have no idea what is good and what is rubbish.

Heard that 2 Brothers are good?, Micron? Yoshimura?
I don't have deep pockets either, so nicest one for cheap cash if possible.

What can you lot recommend for me?

Thanks

Wayne.

P.S
Will older RR exhausts fit onto my bike? Plenty of RR5 pipes on Ebay at the moment.

By RR8 does that mean you have a 2008 model? If so you will have to go with a exhaust for a 2007 and 2008 model. Some exhausts will work for 2007+ and some will only work for 2007 and 2008. You can not use and exhaust from 2003-2006 as they mid pipes are not the same and it will not work. As far as sound goes it is all going to per personal preference so we can't tell you one over the other. From what I hear two brother is pretty stupid loud. A lot of people like Yoshimura. It seems that the 2 best are Leo Vince and Akrapovic. TOCE seems to be making their way onto the scene and I have only heard good things about them but I can imagine it being a little louder. What you need to look out of is how far past the tail fairing the exhaust sticks out. I kn know that two brother and Yoshi stick very far out past the tail fairing and personally I hate that. Some Leo Vinces do and and some don't. I know the Akra do not and TOCE looks to stick out very slightly. Hope this helps.

Yes mate I have a 2008 bike.
As for the pipe type, I'd prefer to stay away from any thing going too far out of the back.
That looks rubbish.
I'll look towards the akropovic or the other one.

Cheers

I don't know what your price point is but Akrapovic is the best pipe out their. Their quality is unmatched, it has a nice sound to it but is not stupid loud and it sits flush with the tail fairing. To me it looks the best on the bike out of any other exhaust out there. However it does come with a pretty heavy price tag. If you get one post up some pics.

Cheers for the input.
I think I'm going to go for a Scorpion pipe. Heard one yesterday and sounded very nice.
