Riding Position and Clip-ons

Riding Position and Clip-ons
After my first track day on the F4, I feel I have to do something about the riding position. I know that I can adjust to fit the bike, but in this case I want to adjust the bike to fit me.
I have already ordered rearsets that will move the pegs about an inch up and back. What is the best type of clip-ons? I want them to be a bit lower and wider. Above or below triple clamp? Or use a raised one below the clamp, putting the bars on level with the clamp. Any clearance issues? Can I keep the air duct covers on?
One thing I've done in the past with a -97 GSXR600 was to heighten the seat 20mm by putting alu square profiles between the seat and the subframe. That's also possible to do on the F4 wich have the same type of seat mount. It was to make the knee angle more comfortable with the rearsets on.
The rear ride height is also something that should be looked at. Has anyone increased the ride height with different linkage or shock length? Any issues with that change?
If you look at the pictures you can see what it's about, comparing the F4 with a Triumph 675. When I sit on the T675 I feel that this is a very good riding pos, more like previous bikes I've had (Duc748, GSXR600, ZX6R). One thing that's not easy to change is the seat to handlebar distance, it's fixed by the size of the tank.
I appreciate all input on this issue, specially from those who have used their F4's on the race track.
